FIELD CLOSURES

January 19, 2012 - all grass fields are closed.

League does not hold any field permits from December 1 through March 31.

During the playing season, information regarding field closures is updated by 3:00 pm on weekdays as needed.                                          

Field closure signs posted by the city, county or a school takes precedence over any notice on the web site or the league phone message line.  The following factors may determine if the fields will be open:

• Weather forecast for the day
• Condition of fields prior to the rainy weather
• How much rain has fallen in the last few days
• Amount of standing water or puddles

Coaches:  Please adjust your practices so that you avoid the goal boxes, center of the field and any other worn and/or muddy areas.  Wet days or over watered fields cause extraordinary amounts of damage to field conditions that take weeks or months to repair!  Thank you for taking a field-conscious approach to practice.

Do you have outdoor or indoor soccer shoes which are still in good condition?  Please donate them!  Shoes can be dropped off at:

               Sports City, 921 Piner Road, Santa Rosa or 
               T&B Sports, 1250 Mendocino Avenue, Santa Rosa.

The Shoe Bank is now being operated by Sports City, 921 Piner Road, Santa Rosa.

In stock soccer shoes are Youth Size 10 through Adult Size 8.  

Our shoe bank was operated by the Father of Soccer in Santa Rosa, Joe Belluzzo (see: History).  Joe retired from the position in 2009 after many years of service.
